Synopsis

A French-American actor grappling with an infertility diagnosis retreats into himself, until a film role forces him to confront what he stands to lose. Written and directed by Nadia Cavelle, the film moves between domestic intimacy, dream sequences and a period film-within-a-film, exploring masculinity, grief and the quiet violence of self-blame.

DOP Statement

Photographed on the VENICE in IMAX-certified full-frame 6K. Natural light led, handheld where the story asks for it, with the large-format sensor doing the emotional work in close-up. Three registers to hold apart and then let bleed: the flat's domestic light, the dreams, and the period film inside the film.
